Harley-Davidson have been busy working on their electric motorcycles and now the company has released a photo of their future electric scooter. The new urban scooter is meant to be unique, fresh and different, so it can attract a new, younger “audience”.

Very few details about the scooter have been revealed since it was first announced in July 2018. However, recent filings to the Office of the European Union Intellectual Property unveil a draft design of the scooter.

Diagrams submitted with the design filing show the engine and the battery share a single metal housing. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a belt drive. A handle at the top of the battery suggests the battery will be removable, which will make charging easier for those who do not have a power outlet near their parking spot.

The Milwaukee company is fully committed to an e-future on two wheels and is busy working on its “More Roads to Harley-Davidson” plan. The e-scooter will join H-D’s LiveWire motorcycle and the planned off-road bike and electric bicycle.

Can you picture the high bars and the chromes on the e-scooter?
